Swim For A Mile (SFAM) is an initiative aiming to encourage people to get back into the pool and become confident life-long swimmers.* The Programme runs annually, starting in January and consists of 10-12 weeks of training. * The programme is designed to provide you with the option of training in your own time or registering for SFAM coached sessions at your local SFAM associated pool.

* The programme progresses participants from being able to swim 2 lengths of a swimming pool to completing a full mile at one of Swim Irelands SFAM event days. This is a cost of €25 per person that goes to Swim Ireland and their partner charity, Temple Street Childrens Hospital. This is a separate cost to our training sessions.

* Swim Ireland Registration for the pool programme opens annually in December via www.swimforamile.com
